Cooling off the summer heat

Since my sister and I weren't able to go with our mom to the province for Holy Week to spend our vacation there, my sister asked me if we can go swimming instead on a nearby (public) pool within Quezon City --the nearest was the Ateneo grade school swimming pool. So last Easter Sunday together with my sister, and two little cousins, we went there to cool off the summer heat for a while.

The pool schedules are at 9-11:30am; 1:30pm-4pm; 4pm-6:30pm it is open every weekends. Rate is at Php 40.00/one and a half hr. They are strict with the swimming attire, girls should wear swimsuits and swimming caps and males should be on swimming trunks. But if you don't have a swimming cap, you can rent it there for Php 10.00

The following day after easter, since our little cousins couldn't get enough of the few hours we spent on the pool the other day, we went for another dip on the pool but this time we tried another public pool which is near Ateneo too, which is at Xavierville Avenue, called "Papu's and Mamu's".

Entrance fee for day swimming is Php 100.00 while for night swimming is Php 150.00. Day swimming is from 9am to 3pm and night swimming is at 4pm/6pm- 12mn. Food is not allowed since the place has their own  restaurant.

We were lucky that time because it was just me, my sister and our two little cousins who were using the pool, it was like we rented the whole pool for less than Php. 1,000.00 for 5 hrs so we really  enjoyed it. The pool is not as big as the pool in Ateneo, but it was okay since we had the whole place to our selves unlike in Ateneo, there were other people swimming too and some are swimmers practicing, so we had to be careful not to get in their way and I had to constantly call on to my little cousins to watch out too. Although they were renovating the surroundings of the pool, they cleaned the pool of little leaves as soon as we arrived and the workers also left, so it was just really the four of us at the back of the resto/bar and the staffs were nice too.
